OLD PARIS PORCELAIN FRANCE ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED GRAVY BOAT W/ UNDERPLATE CA 1850

Description

Up for auction is this stunning antique Old Paris Porcelain gravy boat with matching underplate.  The set has pink rose dominated floral groupings  around the exterior of the boat  and the out circumference of the diamond shaped underplate.   The outer circumference of the underplate and the exterior of the gravy boat have heavy gold painted raised textured floral highlights.  Edges of both pieces and the fancy twisted twig and leaf handles are trimmed in gold.  All gold and flowers are hand painted.   All this creates a wonderful Victorian Art Nouveau influenced feel.  This is part of a large Old Paris Porcelain collection from an Estate in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA we are selling.  The previous owners wish to remain anonymous.  We estimate the age of these pieces to be from the early to mid 19th century, circa 1850.  No markings which is common and expected with Old Paris Porcelain.  Some impressed marks on the bottom of the underplate, indistinguishable but common with Old Paris Porcelain pieces.  In nice condition with just  wear to gold edge/handle trim, commensurate with the antique age and use of the piece.  A great piece in nice shape offered with NO RESERVE!!
